Gerry has been drawn to visual imagery since the age of ten, when he received his first Super 8 camera and a Kodak Instamatic as gifts. Twelve years later, he received his BA in Film-Fine Arts from Pitzer College in Claremont, California.
Having spent time as an on-set photographer in Los Angeles, Gerry observed and took tips from some of the industry's notable photographers and cinematographers. His photographic aesthetic could be described as eclectic. Often preferring to capture people in real, unexpected moments, one could say his portraiture fluctuates between documentary, environmental and abstract.
Gerry's photographs have appeared in F-Stop Magazine, Zocalo, The Tucson Daily Star and Tucson Lifestyle. He received an Emmy Award in 2010 for his work on "Lost Southwest", which originally aired on KOLD in Tucson.
He is available for portraits and various artistic assignments that demand something unusual or a conceptual approach.
